Early Ages
Spring, 1979. When a second boy was born to the Jewish family of lawyer Patsy Noah and basketball coach Fred Levin, he was named Adam Noah Levin.
His father introduced Adam and his brother Michael to the game of basketball from a young age, in which he immediately showed leadership ability. He was just seven years old when the young athlete put the ball in the basket in the final seconds of the game and saved the team from defeat at the local YMCA championship. As Levin later recounted in an interview, that victory was the key to his lifelong confidence.

After graduating from college, Adam returned to Los Angeles, where with the same friends and joined by guitarist James Vallentine, he created a new band, Maroon 5.
